What is an Instagram transcript?
An Instagram transcript is the written version of speech in a Reel or video. Unlike a post description, it captures spoken content for notes, research, and subtitles.
Can I transcribe a Reel without captions?
Yes. When existing captions are unavailable, we attempt to transcribe the audio. Music, accents, and overlapping voices can affect recognition quality.
Does it work with private accounts or Stories?
This version supports publicly accessible Reels and video posts. Private, login-required, and deleted content are not supported. Stories are not available in this release.
Will my video be translated into English?
No. The transcript stays in the original spoken language. An English interface does not mean automatic translation.
Can I download subtitles?
Yes. Download plain text as TXT, or timestamped subtitles as SRT and VTT. Review the words and timing before publishing your subtitles.
How does paid unlocking work?
Yes. Submit a public video up to 10 minutes after signing in. Once transcribed, preview a short excerpt. Choose a single unlock or a monthly plan for full text, copying and downloads. Monthly usage rounds each video up to a whole minute and does not roll over. Failed processing is not charged. One unfinished or locked result per account; daily limits apply.
